A plethora of cartoon characters, insipid pastel colors, uninspiring designs...why can’t bed linen for kids be a bit more creative?
Museo invited 6 Dutch talented young designers to design “real art” for kids’ bedrooms. The result is a series of contemporary, bold crib sets and duvet covers for discerning babies and toddlers (not to mention their parents.)
The stories
The designs invite the kids to make the duvet covers part of their play. Loading boy + girl come with a fabric game controller. An online tool allows kids to create their own stories using their favorite Museo characters (coming soon on this website.)
The designers
All designers are graduates of renowned Dutch art schools (Arnhem, Den Haag) and have been nominated for and received multiple design awards.
Their out-of-the-box, surprising approach to a product that’s been around for a long time is a hallmark of Dutch graphic design.
